SR causing double images on K-m

Recently, I have been getting a lot of pictures with motion blur at shutter speeds of around 1/100 of a second. Bellow is an example taken at 1/80 of a second at 35mm f/8 on the K-m. SR was on.

Over half of the pictures I took the same day as this one have a double image.
I tried turning off the Shake Reduction and this problem stopped. When I turned SR back on, I got more double images.
When I first got this camera a year and a half ago I didn't have this problem.

Is my only option to stop using SR?

Is the camera on a tripod? If it is then the shake reduction introduces shake when it is turned on. Strange but true.

I think the real question is "what changed?" If it's the use of the tripod, fccwpe has it right.

Otherwise, another SR mystery.

I did not use a tripod for the above picture.

Over the past few months I have been getting an increased number of blurry pictures. I thought I needed to hold the camera more steadily, although that made no difference. The problem just seemed to get worse. I used to get some pictures with motion blur, but not many. Now, over half of my pictures taken at shutter speeds from 1/60 of a second to 1/125 of a second show motion blur. The motion blur varies in severity and is always in the same direction. The problem disappears when I turn Shake Reduction off.
