Pentax K-5 first photo

Look at the difference in sharpness of the brand name an the type name (K-5), the background texture is equally sharp. And look at the contours of the focusing mode selection lever, there is a very fine line between the round part and the long vertical part. The mode selection knob, that's well done, I think that the lower part is cloned, a row is adad in the lower part so the shadows are the same.
These are my observations.
But, these can all be coincidences, the IQ of a picture on the net is difficult to be judged...

Since it just like K7 I doubt it will have AA support (without additional grip that is). Seems like I'll be with K20D for better or worse till death do us part.

Based on the prediction on the K-r pricing being quite accurate, I guess K-5 will be around $1600 for body (or w/ a kit lens). K-7 body is $870. I guess the price comes down over time, but I'm still debating if I should keep the K-7 or go for K-5 (I can still return K-7). I'd rather pend $ on lens... Hmmm.

Folks, According to the website, the image was supplied by Hoya Corporation. Look at the photo's attribution on the site.

The question that I have is, did Hoya use a K5 or a 645D to take the image in the studio?

I think they mean the DSLR is provided from Hoya Corp.

Apparently is fully compatible with K-7 grip.

Yeah I must admit in terms of physical design I found the mode knob on the K-7 to be a tad fiddly.

And yes I am happy with been able to use my K-7 grip, it isn't cheap! but luckily I got a genuine Pentax one through ebay very cheap

Today I went to Bic Camera in Nagoya, the K-r wasn't there yet (mid-October even in Japan), but the K-7 was already gone...
- I think the K-5 is coming before the K-r, phasing out the K-7, maybe simply because they still have more K-x on stock and hardly any K-7 stock.

I don't know if this was already posted, but in addition to the mode wheel and the AF switch, also the front wheel is different. I believe this is a genuine picture and the K-5 being so similar to the K-7 fits the rumored dimensions which are the same as K-7's.
