Agree. Keeping the K7 and getting a long lens seems like a better idea than a new camera (for me). I've given the K5/D7000 some thought. Good glass is always a major +

I do not have any car, I use public transport. I think this has saved enough to buy one Pentax FF every year or so —boy, how I feel privileged!

Yea nice to sit on a nice pool of glass until the time is right for a new body and then suddenly its like your lenses got better haha. (or worse but lets hope not)

Wow, and I always thought no place is as expensive as Finland. Today the cheapest K-7 (last batch???) in Finland is 793.90 € (incl. 23% VAT). There's one at a store 1 km from me actually...

I drive a Chevy Lumina 95 and I'm very happy with my KX

. The Kr is tempting but if I'd have to chose between the Kr and a better lens, I'd probably chose the lens.

For years there has been whining that Pentax doesn't have a camera that is a true "professional" spec'd camera. Well, now they seem to have something that that matches the big boys and it's "too much". Some people will never be happy I suppose.

correction: seems that PEntax Romania read this forum amd just reduced the K-7 price to 1050 E from 1200... to make room for k-5

I have jump on Pentax bandwagon a few years ago when lenses and body were reasonably priced. There's no reason for anyone to go with Pentax now that bodies and lenses were priced so much higher then they used to be.

I am driving a Volvo 940 estate and shooting, comming from LX's, K20d (+ limiteds), I learned to 'exploit' both till the maximum…

It was about the same as over there until a few weeks ago - and admittedly it's just one major store while the others still charge about 900-1000€.
