Bonjour à tous,

je rencontre actuellement des problèmes avec mon appareil Pentax K-X et avec sa molette de sélection en plastique. Il s'agit de la molette qui permet notamment de zoomer sur les photos en mode visualisation, ou de changer les valeurs d'ouverture, durée d'exposition, valeur d'exposition, ou sensibilité ISO.

Sur mon appareil, cette molette est complètement bloquée, et est devenue de ce fait inutilisable. Le bloquage vient du fait que j'utilise mon appareil en mode manuel avec des optiques anciennes. Je sollicite donc souvent cette molette de sélection, qui est en plastique et assez fragile.

Je souhaiterais savoir si, à votre avis, ce problème est couvert par la garantie de mon appareil.

A défaut, quelle serait la meilleure solution ? Envoyer mon appareil au SAV de Pentax malgré tout et payer la réparation, ou m'adresser à un spécialiste ?

If your camera is under warranty, then this should be covered, assuming you haven't opened the camera or mistreated it. Good luck!

Agreed, and it has to be under warranty since the camera was released only 10 months ago! Assuming of course nothing was jammed inside the dial, if it stopped working under regular use, that is clearly a warranty issue.

Thanks guys for your answer. I read the warranty terms and conditions, and they were like implying fair wear and tear was not covered (and of course, neither was the improper use).
I emailed Pentax after-sales service before sending back my Kx. If I get any news, I'll let you know.
