Just took the plunge :)

I just ordered the K10D from Dell, and after the rebate and me selling the included kit lens, the total price for the body should be around $525!
I've been out of the photography arena for a few years - started with a K1000 then a PZ1. I'm very happy to be back.
I do have a little apprehension though... I'm hoping that the posts here and on other sites about the DA* 16-50 focusing issues as well as the underexposure problems with the 540 flash are from a vocal minority rather than a widespread issue. Or, if there is a widespread problem, that it can be addressed by firmware updates. I am planning on purchasing both the DA* 16-50 and the DA* 50-135.
I've sure learned quite a bit from reading all these posts!

Hate to burst your bubble but you should check the rebate form: Body only. Not for kits.

The rebate form specifically states "If you purchase any K series kit (body and lens) you will need to cut out the original UPC code from the camera BODY box located inside the kit package."

That is an amazing price. I just went to Dell.com and added the K10D plus kit lens to my "Cart" to see the hidden price, and it said $719. The rebate brings that down to $669. How much to you expect to sell the lens for?

I also used PayPal to pay for the camera. This reduced the price by another 10%. The 10% PayPal deal expires Wednesday (9/5). I've seen on ebay where people are getting 65-70 for the kit lens. So, with the PayPal discount, my total was $647, minus the $50 rebate = $597 then selling the kit lens for, maybe, $70 or so, leaving the total for the body at $527. Can't complain about that!

Sorry, the rebate sheet I was looking at didn't say that.

No problem at all... I had to double-check myself because there was some confusion over on DPreview as well. I'm glad by bubble is still intact!

I'm trying to pretend that this deal never existed since I just got my K100D a week ago :P.

WOW! With a kit lense that is almost 50% less than K10D body only in Canada. You picked up one sweet deal! Hey Pentax Canada wake up and at least be competitive with Pentax USA; maybe then I will buy another camera or lens from you. I know, they don't care.

Great deal you found! I have not seen the Paypal offer, and I often use them for online purchases. Saves giving out my Credit Card number to a lot of vendors. I used Paypal to buy my wife's K100D last month and did not get as good a bargain as you.
