K10D image count

In another thread we discussed the fact that the K10D picks up its image numbering from the higher of the internal count or the numbered images it finds on the SD card. My camera straight out of the box started numbering its images at about 2300, following on from images already on the card (from my wife's DL).

With help from a member called "Big Red" on CR Kennedy's forum, I've managed to zero the image count on my new K10D.

with a freshly formatted card...

Go to Menu-->Rec. Mode-->Memory-->File No.(scroll to the bottom to find it..)-->Uncheck the box.

take an image to check if its IMGP001 then go back and check the box again.

Thanks Shane!

I've now renumbered an image on a card to 300, to bring the count into line with the approximate number of photos I've actually taken. I like to keep the count honest!
