K7 Light Meter

Will the built in light meter work on the K7 with older screw mount lenses? I originally had the level meter turned on, but turned it off, as I wanted to experiment with the built in meter, but nothing shows up where I'm expecting it to show. Am I missing something simple, or will it just not work with screw mount lenses?

With screw mount lenses in av mode you get the shutter speed directly not a meter reading

Yes, it will definitely work, but you must be in M mode and you have to hold the stop-down button to activate it. If you have your electronic level turned on, then the EV will simply be shown in the viewfinder, i.e. -1.0, 0.0 (ideally), +0.5, etc. (just like in the super program!)
