the item description was somewhat vague, but it looks like it comes with the 18-55 lens...
i have the k-x currently, and i know the k-7 ain't perfect..... but since i normally shoot lower iso(s).. i.e,. daytime, outdoors, i'm sure i can deal with the loss of high iso capability(ies)....
plus, the k-7 is a tank, and i miss that 'feel' since my old k200d days....
i still have my suspicions about this purchase... i'll just have to wait to first see if it actually comes, and then make sure it's for the u.s. market, not a gray market item....
will then opt for an extended warranty..... if i can find one cheap.... dave m

Unbelievable. I just purchased a beautiful, gently used K20D a month ago, and yet this is such a crazy deal, I'm tempted. I mean, if I decided just to keep the K20, I could turn around and resell the k-7 on ebay or something to finance that 43mm limited lens I've been wanting so badly...just crazy. Especially since they list the body by itself for $900+.

Hope you pulled the trigger. They wouldn't go into my cart on Buy.com, so I can only assume they either sold out quickly, or they took down the listing. Alas, I wasn't able to take advantage of this.

Holy smokes! And this morning I was doing my homework, like a sucker, and missed this deal (if it was indeed real!).

Anyone pull the trigger and not have Buy.com cancel your order?? I'd say that's grounds for negative feedback on eBay

I did. But I'm feeling kind of foolish for it, since I don't even know how to use everything on the K20D as yet. Honestly, the smaller size of the K-7 helped push me. I'd been contemplating picking up a K-x as they are being clearanced out just for taking on vacations, but this was cheaper (unbelievable!) than a K-x right now, and I can sell the K20D and just have one camera.

I know a lot of people love the larger body of the K20D, but I'm tiny at 5'3", with small bones and hands that only fit small to x-small gloves. I think a smaller body will 'fit' me better.

dcmsox2004 - how does that work, buying the extra warranty through a place other than who you purchased from? I thought those warranties were only good through the retailer, like when you buy a washer and dryer at Best Buy...

I saw this last night and hit BIN on Ebay. Got an email this morning canceling. Trying now to argue my way into the deal, but I doubt it'll work. I was looking at the K-5, but this deal looked too good to be true and it appears, at least for me, that it was. I hope other folks get lucky.
