LOL Only in your dreams buddy. When I have two K-5/K-7 in my hands and a plethora of lenses MAYBE. I've been waiting EIGHT years for this camera. It will likely be six months at least before I can even stand the idea of letting anyone in this house get within 3 feet of it. I don't even hardly let my roomies near my SPII/FRI combo as it is. My much coveted DSLR?

Uh, no, any unsolicted grabs on that *ist would be justifiable grounds for serious bodily damage. This may be a nothing much kind of camera to some people on here, but even if it only cost me $100 all total this camera/lens kit is my new baby! Nobody gets to play with my new toy but ME! No, no, NOBODY! At least not until I have something far better in the house anyway.

If I recall correctly, the *istD supports the old Pentax TTL flash protocol. If that's the case, find yourself a used 280t for $50 and keep smiling .
Sadly, only the original *ist D, and the *ist DS supported traditional TTL. The DL does not.

It's one of the reasons I keep looking for a $50 *ist D or DS!

Yup. I'm having fun trying to use it today. Read the manual, twice but I'm still having to practically relearn how to focus and shoot with this one. My pics so far are just criminally bad, but I'll get there. In a week or two I'll know what I am doing and then I'll be able to show it off a bit. But yeah, definitely worth the $100 and then some, laugh.
