Assuming good reviews, sure I'd get one...if I won a lottery or something. I've got plenty of FF glass so that's not a problem. I wouldn't sell my K-5* to fund it though.

* that is, the K-5 I will buy as soon as I hit the lottery

What a load of morons are beginning to infest this site including the ones who reply to such a post like the beginning thread.

The K-5 just showed the world that APS-C sensors can be VERY competitive with FF cameras at low ISO... and now we have another FF thread lol.

Well put apples to apples If the K5 tec ISO auto focus where in line, 512xx+iso would be no problem for this camera.

it would compare to a 1D MKIV at $6500.

Humm let me think
YES I WILL

Option 2... APS-C format seems to do very well for me as hobbyist. High ISO noise was a limitation, but now are a thing of the past from k-x onwards.

This K-5 just sounds too good to not upgrade. Wonder when first one will hit SA...

Short answer...no, I wouldn't buy it. That's WAY too much money for the benefits it would provide for my shooting.

Why does it seem like 1 in 5 threads on this forum start or end with someone fitfully fantasizing over FF? Call me naive, but with sensor technology improving day after day, is anyone really going to care about this a few years from now? (Does Pentax care now?)

With the dynamic range and iso capabilities of a K-5, the only advantages I can see with a FF is the viewfinder. I wish Pentax could somehow release a model with a bigger and brighter optical viewfinder, now THAT would be cool.

I right now want an EVIL with the same K-5 16MP sensor and a FF with the new generation sensors scoring around 97 on DXO Mark.
