Super-Takumar 135/2.5 M42: Multi-Segment Metering on K-x?

With my Super-Takumar 135/2.5 (m42) on my K-x, Multi-segment metering seems to work?

The camera also records f2.8 on the exif of photos taken, regardless of actual setting on the lens aperture ring

Is this a normal behaviour or is the lens just shorting out some pins on the body?

Normally, with my other m42's, Multi-segment doesn't work and aperture is recorded on exif as "F--"

It's just shorting pin 3.
