USA Pricing vs Canada Pricing

Are you American Buyers considering buying from Canada now that the dollar is almost par?

It seems that there is better pricing in Canada and also Pentax Canada offers a 2 year warrenty vs Pentax USA's one year.

$1428.99 for the K-5 Body @ Dunne & Rundle

The higher Canadian dollar makes things less expensive for us Canadians to buy, but it doesn't necessarily make it less expensive for Americans. They could get stuck paying duty when importing the item into the US. Converting currency from CA to US $ costs as well.

I probably wouldn't try to use a Canadian warranty in the US. For an additional cost, they can get an international warranty but that would again negate any saving from buying in Canada.

don't know about the US but there is no Duty on Photo equipment coming to canada
there is always exchange rates and they will eat up most of the small difference
Dunn and Rundle are by far the lowest price in canada though

I believe the warranty supplied by PCI is an international warranty.
