MILC/EVIL Pentax

If ever Pentax makes an MILC Camera would like it to be............

1) An APS-C sensor camera with existing K-Mount.
2) An Auto110 size same mount to use old Auto 110 Lenses

I go for the auto110.

I was just thinking about this today. An Auto-110 mount camera with compatability to use the MF 110 lenses. It would have a Micro 4/3 sensor, as a M 4/3 is actually just about the same size as 110 film anyway.

Maintain a short registration distance for use with the old lenses and you'll also have the ability to adapt it to nearly anything you want, though almost any lens you stick on it would be telephoto.

There could also be a gear drive or something on new lenses for the sytem to allow them to autofocus. Maintain the aperture/shutter funkiness, but add manual controls, and keep the size way, WAY down, like the size of the original Auto 110.

Oh, and make it a real SLR like the Auto 110

That's what I want. Where's my D-110 SLR?

(nb: I hope the industry settles on Micro for this format: even DILS, Digital Interchangeable Lens System, sounds a bit disparagingly Milky, or Evil)

FYI: There's another topic on this matter c/w some profound discourse in another section here, you might like to read and join in to that.

But briefly, yes, grapevine indications are that Pentax does have some kind of DSL (note no R for Reflex) camera in their pipeline for ?? future release.

OK try this:

This is exactly what Sonys new SLT series are (a33/a55). Sized like a K-x, not exactly worth doing and certainly not a design to compete with other makers EVILs.

Pentax to release a new body with a mount to fit Auto 110 lenses? Oh me.

There is an existing thread/wish list about such rumored body already...
