Just got my K10D :>)

After about 6 months of research and viewing new Canon, Nikon, and Sony DSLR offerings, I decided to invest with Pentax. So far I am most impressed with what I received yesterday from B&H video and look forward to contributing to this forum. Yesterday, I took day off and got some great shots on Cape Cod. I really think I made an outstanding investment.

Hi Wil

Welcome to PentaxForums and we are naturally glad to hear that you came to the wise decision of choosing the K10D over it's immediate competitors. I remember the occasion when I first laid my hands on a Pentax K100 at a local photographic store, having just picked up a C***n 400D & N***n 40D in quick succession and the Pentax simply felt instinctively RIGHT in my hands. However, the K10D is even better in this respect and it is really great not having to continually delve into endless menus, in order to accomplish simple but repeated tasks. Combine that with excellent weather-sealing and superb film-like 10MP image quality at today's current bargain prices and you have a winner on your hands......

Best regards
Richard

I picked up my K10D a few weeks ago, upgrading from a DS that I have had for a few years. I love it! I use a Rebel at work, and have been 'holding' a D40 at a local store. The Pentax just feels so much better in my hands. And if all goes well, will be using my K10D for the cover shot of my works christmas catalog. Graphics dept likes the pic quality over the Rebel.
