I'm from the US, but spend a lot of time traveling. Soon I will be making the jump from a AA powered camera to a K7 that runs on a proprietary battery. The standard battery charger that comes with the K7, is it dual voltage (110 - 240)? I need to know if I should start the hunt for a charger that will work both in the US and abroad (with a plug converter, of course) or not. I couldn't locate this information on Pentax's site or B&H's either.

Yes, the battery charger for the K-7 is dual voltage. As a matter of fact, you can read that info on the charger itself (input 100-240). I use mine in the USA and in Europe and never have any any problems, of course. All you will need is a plug adapter to fit into foreign sockets....not voltage transformers, the simple adapter which you can get for cheap.

Enjoy your K-7 all over the world.

Indeed, also, check your other electronics. Many will have similar capabilities. Just make sure the voltage of the country you are traveling to is within the range listed on the transformer (the "brick"/"wall wart") and all you'll need is the adapter so the pins line up in the outlet.
