How many test actuations at the factory?

Just bought a new K-X from Amazon (fullfilled by Willoughbys) and PhotoME reports it has a shutter count of 70. Is that normal? Everything in the box was intact and there's no signs of handling/use.

Every camera I've had, up to the K5 (which was reset to 0), has had at least 250 as reported by PhotoMe.

Enjoy your new camera!

Actually, it might be slightly lower than normal. Bring it quickly to some 4,000 clicks.

70 is pretty low. It's normally in the 200-300 range.

**I'd send it back and demand they add a few hundred actuations, haha (being sarcastic).

My K-7 was 35,000. it broke about 2 weeks ago. I sent it to repair. I get it 2 days ago. PhotoMe say 60. I think they replace a new shutter on my k-7. Now it runs fine. Smile

My k-x came with two-hundred something shots on it out of the factory a year ago. I guess their have their processes under control well-enough now that they can reduce in process testing to a third of what it was when production was ramping up.

This explains why my new K-x after some 60-80 test pictures shows more than 300 actuations. :-/
