Will the LCD from a K10D fit on a Samsung GX10

I just got a broken Samsung GX10 as a second camera to my K-x... It was really really cheap!! Going to use it when the weather is not so good and at night in less nice (mine!! LOL!) neighbourhoods

Its working perfectly except for the LCD TFT Screen which is broken and needs replacing...
Finding Samsung DSLR parts online is proving difficult... Will a pentax screen for the K10 fit... These appear to be obtainable and fairly cheap?

Also... Will be fitting myself if possible... Anyone done a job like this and have a 'How To Guide'??

Many advance thanks

Dave

I've never done it, so I cannot help out with the how, but they are the same camera except for cosmetic details and firmware as far as I know.

How much are you finding the replacement part will cost? You can buy good used K10D's in the forum marketplace for $200.

Paid 50 for the GX10 and the screen is looking at another 50... K10's and gx10's here usually go for 250/350 here in UK... Going to be whether or not I can do the fix myself... If I can't its going back on ebay...

1st aid repairs just quoted me 137.35 to do the job... I'm in the process of thinking it over... www.1staidrepairs.co.uk their tel is: 01892 525327

I had asked that they also give me the price of the part in their quote but........

Its going to have cost me 190ish plus the shipping by the time I'm sorted... May have to wait til after xmas... Could just be that I'm Yorkshire and tight

Have the K-x so at least I'm not without

Mine's a bit battered but still ok for me.

I have read somewhere that they are fairly easy to replace. Somewhere in my mess of 'bookmarks' I'll have the link. When I find it, I'll post it.

Have you tried Johnsons Photopia at Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire ? It's not a million miles from you and they are now the official Pentax UK repair agents.
