VirtualDub for K5/K7/Kr/Km movies

To use VirtualDub VirtualDub on K5/K7/Kr/Km movies (AVIs), I'd recommend going to MJPG codec information.

The download is at PICVIDEO.EXE which installs a CODEC that allows VDub to import the Pentax AVIs.

I installed latest version of Virtualdub and ran some K-7 AVI files on my notebook.

Could you explain the need for PICVIDEO.EXE? Does it add some functions?

Thank you for the advice.

I've used the Portable version of vdub (1.6.19) for K7 movies since I bought the K7 last October.
The free version of VideoPAD (now my personal favourite) will also load K7 movies just fine.

On many PCs, VDub plays the AVIs' sound but not its video so the PICVIDEO codec will solve the problem. I'm afraid I thought it was a common problem as I was asked by a number of people how to fix VDub.
