Take a look at my IR remote design: Pentax IR Remote

Works like a charm with my K-x and code can still be improved a lot, its work in progress.

Does anyone have trouble setting the ISO in manual mode with the PK_Tether? Everything works on my Kx except I cannot change the ISO in manual mode. Great program though!

Hello all,

I am encountering the same problem. Any help will be appreciated.

Yes it work on k-x. Successfully running under win7(32). About GTK+, just google it.
Did you try to run other sw from the same authors: https://sites.google.com/a/pentax.org.pl/tomaszkos/home/pktether

I am still waiting for my camera to arrive, and have been lurking for a while...

Middle of December there was an update patch for the pkremote (linux/sourceforge) program which pktehter/pkremote (google Polish) is based on allowing support for for the K-x.

This patch is here (https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&group_id=223919&atid=1059756)

This may offer some help for others engaged in this quest.

there is also a newer project at sourceforge PkTriggerCord (https://sourceforge.net/projects/pktriggercord/) which claims some degree of control out of the box for the kx and is fully sourced

I am having a problem with the program. If I set the camera to bracketed shooting, or, manually change the EV settings between shots, or, change the aperture between shots, the first picture is fine, but each subsequent shot has an increasing level of error (multiple copies of the image in the wrong colors in a band across the bottom of the picture that gets wider with each shot).

Has anyone else seen a similar effect?

A follow up.

The problem discribed above was using a Windows XP desktop. I have since loaded the software on a Vista Home 32 Laptop with the same results.
