Pentax K7 (& K5)-Adieu manual K lenses in Av/TAv modes?

Own a new K7 and an old Samy GX20 (K20 like).
I can't get aperture stop down in Av or TAv modes with manual K lens (Cosinon 28mm/f2.8) but I can obtain that with the same lens on GX20(K20). Only M mode with the green button is usable.
Here I read about the same incapacity in the case of intermediate rings (auto aperture provided). Is this incapacity general or only with my K7 copy (firmware 1.00) ?
Even with FA 77mm/f1.8 lens in non A stop ring position I had the same incapacity in Av or TAv modes.

Hi Paunel,
I believe there's a menu setting that allows to use those lenses. By default it's set to "NO". Sorry, I don't remember the number of the setting.

AFAIK no Pentax/Samsung DSLR will stop down a lens in Av or TAv modes if using aperture ring in any other position than A.

My Samsung GX20 did!
With the compensation of max. 2EV, that means I can use only f2.8/4/5.6.
My review of Cosinon 28mm/f2.8 on this site (https://www.pentaxforums.com/userreviews/Cosina-28mm-F2.8-MC-MACRO-for-Pentax.html) has photos with Sammy GX20 in Av mode (incredibil?)

solution focus wide open in M mode manually stop down the lens and press the green button to meter effectively they are manual lenses not auto. or sell them off and by KA lenses at a big premium but with alot of convenience
k7 k5 no different than a k10 k20 were as far as i'm aware (and this topic has been widely discussed) It's probably the the single highest demand feature people want to fix the crippled k mount to allow k an m stop down properly

I new that, thank's! But is an incredible (for me) advantage for GX20 vs. K7. More advantage (&reaction speed ) I can get with M42 lenses in Av mode than with own K lenses of Pentax.
Not to say about the I.Q. more than 1EV latitude and noise.
Because Samsung GX20 can and K20 did not (you say there), the response is only the internal sofware and not the hardware. This politics of Pentax is non-friendly for users (only if this is true:"K7 or K20 do not permit Av/TAv mode on manual K lenses")!

In the K-7 manual see the following pages for settings in the Custom Menu:
p. 106 ("Green Button in TAv &M") and p. 294 (Notes on [37. Using Aperture Ring]
1) Under "Using Aperture Ring" select "Permitted", and
2) under "Green Button in TAv &M" select one of the first three choices (I can't remember which -- see the Magic Lantern Guide for the K-7).
3) set Mode dial to TAv or M
4) then press the Green Button, which will automatically adjust the shutter speed an exposure appropriate for the lighting condition metered.
