I am awaiting delivery of my K-x.
I shoot mainly macros so usually use the timer to trigger the shutter.

I am wondering about wireless and wired remote shutter releases from the people who use them on this Pentax model.
One that incorporates the half-shutter aspect as well.
Price is always an option as well.

Seems without the on-camera connection it may be tough.

There are many existing threads on this topic - search 'K-x remote' and you'll see there is a rich history of discussion on the issue here.

There are LOTS of options, depending what you want to do.

For basic usage, the $5 IR remotes you can get off eBay or Dealextreme work fine with the K-x. For advanced usage there are also things like intervalometer IR remotes out there too that work with the K-x:
