Used k7, This Look Right?

I purchased a used k7 with 1,500 clicks, when testing it out at iso 200 the image crops look slightly more soft and noisy compared to my k10d and k-x.

k7 iso 200 f 2.8 1/100 w flash Fa 43

Is this what the k7 sensor produces or is this a bad camera

Thanks again

Nasty doughnut shapes to the out of focus highlights, but that is a lens issue, not camera I think? Looks like the results you would get from a mirror lens.

I can't see the noise? There is quite a bit of dust on the table which you can tell is dust by the focus band.

Looks like a simple back focus to me. And a severely dusty table.

It doesn't look like there is anything wrong with the camera but do think that some better test photos would give us a better idea. Maybe a test subject on a clean table.

1. What part of the full image are the crops? Helps if you post the whole image and then a crop.

2. They look underexposed by 1 or 2 stops. Try posting a properly exposed image.

3. I'd expect the K7 to be noisier than the Kx, although it should be hard to notice at iso 100-200.

Sure does look under exposed, nice "grain" how ever.

My K7, if I underexpose, that's exactly what I get. If I'm properly exposed, or a bit on the plus side, it's all good. I've had a few ISO 800 with no noise, as it was exposed perfect. You just need to get used to how that camera works.

Try shooting correct exposures rather than a couple of stops under. Your situation will improve dramatically.
