Why not K7 stains?

Merry Christmas to all of you!
My new (about 2 month) K7 has about 3 stains in a superficial investigation. I saw one on a clear sky, unusual for dust because of the perfect circular form. Then I read about this problem on K5 sensor. I opened this thread to investigate more, about K7 senzor (and, why not, about the other camera of you and me). I can show only my K7 and Samsung GX20 (K20 equivalent) conclusions in a few days. Using macro FA 100mm/2.8 W.R. at f>8 and very short, unfocused, distance had reveled to me any dust on the senzor in the past, very clear.

I saw a post about K-7 stains, just like the K-5 stains, on DPR. So, it seems SOME of the K-7 cameras have them. Were it my camera, I would contact Pentax service.

I am sorry to hear your problem. I think that it has been a relatively rare issue with the K-7. I would immediately contact your local store (if you bought there the camera) and Pentax to get a replacement camera under warranty.

Hope that you can resolve the problem rapidly....

I shot with my DS for years with a couple of big dust spots on the sensor. I never noticed them against background texture, and when they were noticeable (usually against sky), I would just clone them out. Not to minimize your troubles (I mean, if you shell out a thousand bucks for a camera you should be able to expect a certain level of quality), but sometimes stuff like this doesn't always make a difference.
