RAW CONVERTER SHOOTOUT for K10D

YES, I have done this before, and...
NO I am not perfect, and...
NO there aren't that many options yet for the K10D, and...
YES the pictures are of me, and...
YES I look like CREPE this morning, sorry!

But, here they are without any labels. Let me know which one you like the best and I will post the results later on.

Thanks!

For me 2 & 3 are much better than 1 & 4. Maybe 2 has a slight edge over 3 because I like more contrasty picture.

1 and 4 in my opinion both are not good, skin tones are really bad.

Note, however -- my monitor isn't calibrated

2&3 but for different reasons. 2 has a more textured look to your skin but 3 has more interest in you eyeballs and teeth but it is almost as if something else is lost in the process on 3. A lot will depend upon what you are going for as a look. 1 too red, 4 too yellow.

You want to please your girlfriend/wife I would guess she would like #3 better.

You want to express you masculenity to your buddies I would go for #2.

I think #1 has the best exposure, but has a color cast.
#3 has the most accurate colors, but needs a small "S" curve in photoshop as it is lacking a bit of contrast.
so I guess #3 is best for me

cheers

This got a lot more responses on the other forum. I still like 3 the best. It needs a bit of contrast but has the best starting point. I like to start all my editing with as clean an image as possible so I can go in any direction I want. 2 gets second place for me, but I don't have access to that processor (I won't spill the beans).
