KX or K2000

A local camera shop by me has a k2000 with 2 lens's they took on trade, they told me 520. I was really looking for a kX, but this seems like an alright dead, especially because he told me i could get around 120 for my trade in. I am well aware of what the kx offers over the 2000 spec wise, but i am looking for some first hand advice/ opinions. It seems like the 2000's jpeg engine is a little weak, but i plan on shooting RAW which will overcome that. What do you think? 2000 with 2 lens's for $520 + trade, or kx for 500 with one lens?

Mods, you can close/lock/delete this. More searching found my answer. Sorry for the rushed post.

Kx all the way. I personally own at K2000 (Km) but have played with my cousin's Kx and the Kx is much better in terms of functionality and performance.

In terms of autofocus speed. I did not notice any difference between the two bodies.
In terms of interface layout only thing I found weird was the delete button on the Kx was doubled with the flash release and it felt odd after handling my K2000.

But depending on the lens of the Km I'd take the Kx unless the Km came with a good lens which I doubt otherwise it would be separated.

Both lens's are kit lens's btw. 18-55 and 50-200 (i believe) DA-L.

K-x. I sold my k2000 for one. It was the image quality, specifically the low-light performance of the k-x that was the biggest factor for me. The 2 lens kit with the 55-300mm is a steal for $650. From what I've read, I get the impression that you should avoid the 50-200mm kit.

Check Adorama, I think they currently have the k-x 55-300mm kit for around $650, and I think they are based in NJ so you will avoid sales tax ;-) if you're in NY. I love my k-x.

Abes of Maine has the body and 18-55 for just under 500. That would be at the absolute top of my budget. I already have a kaf2 quantaray and a Pentax fro
My zx-30 that work perfect with the kx (my dad has one I played with) not the greatest lens's I know. But should be more then good enough for now. Unless someone sells a body only kx, I'm more then likely going with the one lens kit.
