New K-7 inbound!

My wife was recently promoted and after a tough year, we decided to get our gifts after her promotion took effect after the new year. Well, I made out like a bandit! Tomorrow, I take delivery of my new K-7 and later this week I get the SMC DA 50-135 mm F2.8 ED (IF) SDM Star Telephoto Zoom Lens. So, about 24 more hours for the camera to arrive then the impatient wait for battery to charge... Really excited and just wanted to share with someone!

Congrats. The best use of the time would be browsing the manual.

nice congrats! i'm looking for a DA* 50-135 mm as well. I have a Pentax K-x that I got for a stellar deal. Looking to pick up some nice lenses before I upgrade to the K-5 when the price drops some.

Take care, Eddie!

The 50-135 may not be super fast in focusing but takes lovely pictures. Get some people shots at events: sports, dances etc. You are going to like it. Congrats.

Well it's here! Battery charging, taunting me with its green light of wait!

I love mine, but it's taking me a while to figure out all of its tricks! I bought the Magic Lantern K7 book and it is sooo much better than the Manual!
Experimented this weekend with EV settings in the Cloudy/Snow of Ontario! Missed all together, but as one member noted, no film ruined, so no cost to experiment!
BTW, I just got a new Tamron 28-75 2.8 XR DI lens. Pretty heavy, but still lighter than my old ME Super Program with an 80-210 Tamron!
Let us know how you love it!
