Hmm I would disagree, The K-x and K20D are in two different categories, only thing the K-x would be better for is high ISO shooting. K-x is a beginner model, the K20D is a enthusiast/semi-pro model. Up to what you are looking for though.
Well, AF is better in K-x than in K20D. Even K-m is better (check two movies in this Korean site):
Pentax K-m vs. K20D

Additionally, sizes of these bodies are completely different (I prefer smaller bodies, so I have chosen K-x) and K20D is heavier (so if you like hiking or climbing it may be a problem).

I have both the KX and K10D and unless the light is great, the KX makes a better picture IMO. The K10 is WR which is the only reason that I would choose it over the KX. I became proficient with one wheel in a matter of minutes when really forced to adapt.

Then again, there is a $200 difference between the two.

I can't speak to the K20

I was thinking to start with Nomad, on the K10D not the K20D. Both of these cameras with grips attached, just look too bulky and clumsy for my small hands. I'm still looking and KEH has a K200 coming in sometime in the next week or two. I'll check that one too.

I wish I could just a 200mm f2.8 but those are of my reach right now.
