Originally posted by MiguelATF I used a K200d quite a bit around 6 or 7 years ago, but sold it, reluctantly, and switched to a series of excellent lighter-weight micro 4/3 bodies, both because I didn't like carrying the K200d + lenses on long hikes (don't even mention backpacks!) and also because of some superb tiny Leica-branded Panasonic lenses which I still have and use on some excellent Lumix bodies. But ---
BUT I missed the build - the CCD colors - the solidity - and, yes, the hard-to-define qualities of Pentax lenses and glass. So about a month ago I purchased a second (relatively lightly-used) K200d body from a fellow Pentax Forums member -
And damn but even though it seems semi-dinosaur like, in 2018, with "only" a 10.2 mp sensor - what a great camera!
This time around I acquired a lightly-used and quite small ('pancake') DA 21mm lens and so far, the results - taken in daylight conditions, at relatively low ISO's, have been ... stellar.
There is something about the way this camera handles - and the images it is capable of producing - which, still, is quite special.
Those are great results! And the lens looks great on the camera as well!
My next lens will be the DA 21. Oh yes. It will shine on my K10D (same sensor as K200D).
