Glad it worked out! Now get 4 good rechargeable batteries and enjoy!
I already do, from my not so well succeeded K50 AA experiment (the third party adapter was big and broke the inner latch).
Going to FL now with the K200D, will bring in some pictures in a few days

Stay safe in Florida, Corona virus pretty rampant down there!

I use Eneloop Pro's (the black ones) and Ikea Ladda 2450's in mine, both types work very well. Charge them with the Panasonic BQ-CC17 black charger. Recommended.

Brave man going on holiday with an untested twelve year old DSLR...

Good AAs and a proper (ie intelligent) charger are essential with the K200D. I don't know how many times the batteries suddenly failed me when I was using mine.

I almost never had a problem with K200d and AA's. ...but I use Eneloops/Ladda's since my K100D years exclusively...

When I first had mine I used AA batteries, always running out when needed most! Since getting Eneloops no problems.

Yep, no problem with Eneloops, with K-x they used to die on me but never with K-200. Even when the meter showed empty they had many frames left!

I just bought one for a reasonable price, waiting for it to arrive, bought for the CCD sensor and its different rendition to CMOS that all the other cameras I own have.

I'm back and can now post my first pictures as a member of this exclusive club

I took my K-S1 with me as well, by the way... but I just knew the K200D would work. They don't build them like these anymore...

And yes, I also use eneloops... didn't have any issues. My eneloops are a few years old, so just like they do with my K-50, they make the K200D "shutter noise" quite a lot quieter by making the mirror not slap very hard. Exposure times seem correct, so it's not the shutter itself that is quieter. An added bonus of AAs as far as I am concerned! The K200D is now my quietest DSLR...

A 4s exposure of some boats late in the evening in Ponce Inlet, Florida. I just put the K200D on a wall and it did its thing...

And here is the Lighthouse from the outside...

And one of the original homes by the lighthouse.

So far, I'm loving the K200D... I think the one way I can express how I feel about it, is that the files it gives me, give me pleasure.

I am also quite amazed at how effortlessly I am converting these files to black and white. Just decrease saturation and the files look great! That does not happen with my CMOS cameras.

Anyone else miss the K200D?

I just traded up to a new KP and then new lenses, looks like I’m gonna have to list my 200 kit soon. I’ve always loved its feel.

Catching a bee flying with K200D and M 50 1.7.

I had been using the K200D with the O-ME 53 but I have now taken it off and I like it better without it... the viewfinder is not bad at all for a pentamirror - it's actually a decent size and brightness. The O-ME53 made it a bit too dark.
