My K200D is still alive. With DA 40XS - it is of my favorite camera/lens combo's.

Wow, there are still K200Ds alive and kicking. I gave up trying to bring mine back to life.

Yes, I have mine since circa 15 years, but I keep good charged batteries in plus use it few times per year.

I bought mine in 2008, it's working just fine! Mainly back up camera now though.

Yes. K200D was my 1st DSLR. I got a few good pics with my old manual lenses with it of my daughter. But I could not understand the camera and soon replaced it with a K5. That said, here is one of my treasured K200D photos, with the Focal 28mm f/2.8 lens. It was a Makinon lens from K-Mart. It was great in the film era, and not bad at the start of the DSLR era.
My daughter's friend, my brother-in-law the x-country starter for a college meet in La Crosse (2014), and my daughter.

I just bought one. Arrived yesterday evening and hopefully I'll get outside to give it a try today.

Still have mine too. Need to get it out and check it over again soon. Not sure how many really good AAs I have right now, so that may be the first step. The photos in good light were so nice. I love the colors. Nice photos folks!

I hope you've got some really good batteries to hand - Eneloops or lithiums.

Ikea LADDA batteries also work really good.

I'm using disposable Energiser Lithium for now, but I really should get some rechargeables.

Thanks, that's very useful info. Looks like the Ikea batteries might actually be rebranded Eneloops at a lower price, so definitely worth a try.
