Just used my K200D today, and was just thinking about how great it feels in my hand, even without the extra battery grip attached. Does anyone else agree with me that the grip on the K200D is perfection, and with the exntended grip attached, absolute perfection?!

I don't use the battery grip which came with mine (purchased from the Marketplace a couple of years back)... it adds too much weight. But yes, I agree that the grip is about perfect. The K5 grip isnt too bad either.

Still have two K200d's and still use them. The k200d group on flicker is quite active.

The K200d uses a CCD sensor which makes it very good for indoors especially with a flash. One of the best cameras for inventory and insurance photos.

I have to agree and I have the same sentiment toward the battery grip I have for my K10D. It just doesn't add enough functionality to justify the additional bulk, so I generally leave both grips in the bag. That said, I love my K200D, which I picked up a few months ago for a bargain price. Being a little lighter weight and more user friendly than the K10D, it's often the one I reach for when I want to shoot with a CCD sensor body; in fact, it's becoming more and more my go to camera for most shooting situations. I got it more or less to replace my K100D, which I had begun to somewhat regret selling last spring. It has all the features I enjoyed about that camera, plus higher resolution and weather sealing.

Simple, but takes great photos.

I've still got my K100D and K200D, both working just fine, but foolishly perhaps, I bought a K30 which failed after about eighteen months ; BAD BUY.
Not satisfied, I then bought a K3, which forgets the date and time whoever I change the battery. It is also much too complicated for my needs, and has a limited battery life compared with the AA cells in my earlier cameras.
At the moment my iMac, on El Capitan, cannot read the last lot of photos taken with the K3, but has no problems with those from the K200.
It seems that I reached for the stars, but they just turned out to be a candle in the wind.

I also like the feel of the battery grip on the K200D. Unfortunately it takes up space in my overcrowded bag and gets left at home more often than not. Battery grip or another lens - the latter almost always wins.

My grip stays permanently attached since I have a lens down carry bag so the camera pretty much takes up the same amount of extra lens space with or without the grip attached. That's the beauty of the K200D, it's still pretty small even with a grip on it! But yeah, a lens would always take priority for me too
