Can't figure out why you might not have been able to set sensitivity above ISO3200 -
ISO6400 I would have understood, since that is the normal upper limit to the ISO
and only by expanding the range can one reach ISO12800.

There is no reason why one shouldn't leave the expanded sensitivity On.

I have Highlight Correction On and if I did not have expanded sensitivity
then my lowest ISO would have been ISO400 -
with the expansion On I can get ISO200
- this is pretty important to me.
