K7 or new lens!

Hi All

Local camera shop offered K7 for 590euros, it has been in demo use.

Now I have K200D + 18-55 II + DAL 50-200 + M50/1.7

Should I buy K7 or get some new better lens and wait for something new body?

I would say decide what it is you cannot do now, and buy whatever it takes to fill that void.

I'd ask yourself...

What new lens do I want or need that I dont already have?

What would you expect the trade-off to be between the K200D and the K-7? Will anything be gained by sticking with the K200D and a new lens versus existing lenses and the K-7?

You will gain more from a nice new lens than a new body. The K200D is a great camera add some fine glass with it and you have a killer combo

What I'd like to have, well lots of stuff:

70-200 2.8
Flash
100mm macro, maybe DFA 100mm WR
120-400 / 150-500
16-50 2.8 or similar

Because I'm very happy with K200D,I think I stick with K200D and upgrade some optics...

Well I want to upgrade my K-7 to K200D, my K-7 is practically new under 2000 shutter count, how much would you pay for my K-7 if we switch with your K200D? PM me if interested.

I guess my recommendation is obvious for your question.

Hi

No thanks. But someone here in Finland is selling his K200D + 18-55 II + Batterygrip for 300euros. I can PM his email address if You like.

A new lens, like the 12-24, will be more fun than a new body.

I've considered a new body on several occasions, but the resolution of the K200D remains sufficient and I'd rather acquire more glass for now.

When the K-5 becomes more affordable, I think it will be time.
