Firmware oddity

Was "rooting" around the Pentax.jp/english site and found this on the download page for the latest K-7 firmware:

After formatting the SD/SDHC card, copy the fwdc204b.bin file to the route directory of the SD/SDHC card. (bold & italics added by me)

Here's my dilemma - I'm not really sure where this directory is. Will Google maps be of any help?

And now for something completely serious. Why doesn't Pentax have anything in the printed manual on how to check the current firmware in your camera?

As to pentax lack of manual information regarding FW, I wouldn't even care to speculate.

It means "root" directory, i.e. just place the file on a formatted SD / SDHC card, without any folders. It should work.
