I made this one with multiple flash/strobe exposures and some torch/flashlight here and there:

I know this isn't exactly light painting, but look just above the wall alongside the road and left of the tree and you'll see a zig-zag blue line. It took me a little while to figure it out.

It's a jogger with a head light!

A 15 second exposure recorded the light but not the jogger, so light painting can be that easy.

( That's the world famous Ironbridge in case you're wondering )

There's quite a few guys on the Ford Forums here in Australia that are pretty good at it ... as that's what they mainly do.

I'll post a few efforts up on here of the work done. Some of them are largely unedited.

Sorry for the automotive porn spam .... but i thought I'd post other's work up here for everyone's viewing pleasure.

Light painting is certainly something we want to try. In fact, my husband and I just started getting this great video series by Popular Photography "Ultimate Photo Guide". We just got the second DVD in the series "Advanced photography Techniques". They showed light painting in excellent detail and gave great suggestions for the technique. We had never seen this before, but it looks incredible!! Now all we need to do is to try it. We will come back here and post our results. It make be a couple weeks or so, but we will be back!

I had a bit of a go at light painting to record a memorial feature designed by a colleague at work:

Used a Pentax AF280T flash and a sigma 10-20mm lens on my K-7. ISO400, f7.1
