Meh. The focus issue under tungsten light has been there forever. I'm not holding my breath...

That's not true. The K-7 introduced colour-sensitive AF sensor which corrected for FF under Tungsten lighting. The K-5 issue is a new one. It should correct as well as the K-7 does but in fact does it worse than the K20D which has no colour temperature sensor.

BTW, as Douglas_of_Sweden said, there already was a thread announcing the apology.

And, yes, customers outside the USA need to turn to their country-specific service centres. Pentax Germany, for instance, already invites returns on their website.
