Interesting Marketplace Instance

How funny is this?

I originally listed my K20D with extra batteries, SDHC cards and other goodies in the marketplace for $525 and it didn't sell, so I split it up and sold pieces to 4 different people and ended up getting a total of $526. PFC

bundling things will reduce the value from what I've seen. my best buy last year i got 5 lenses and 3 camera bodies a whack of filters and 2 bags for about what 3 of the lenses were worth

I always watch for bundles when i'm buying. and sell as separates (usually on craigslist locally)

With a bundle, price is not the only factor. Even if it is priced correctly, it is possible an individual buyer may not want all the things included and not want to go through the hassle of selling the unwanted things later.

Agree with the last two posters. Bundles tend to sell for less than the sum of the parts as many people don't always want everything in the bundle. I love buying bundles because I can just keep what I want, sell off the rest and usually end up with a great deal on what I keep.

On the forum, we're more likely to have users who are just after specific items than a bundle, so it's not so surprising.

Thinking about it now, it isn't surprising. I was just thinking that If a K20D went for $100, the if you include a KatzEye, 3 extra batteries and memory cards that it would go for $500, but I was wrongo dongo. It worked out in the end. The Marketplace really is a great forum feature. Because of it I am half-way to paying for my K-5 and I still have 5 and 1/2 months before the bill is due LOL
