Has anyone used this guy's services before (other than OP) that was not a local?

I dropped my k20d a couple weeks ago and it resulted in a few cracks (OOPS!). Everything seems to be in working order, but I want to get it checked out and don't want to spend a fortune. I'm a little hesitant to send my camera to someone I haven't met face to face. Can anyone provide any recommendations for this guy or anyone else?

Thanks!

Eric doesn't service DSLRs. Only manual film SLRs.

Are you sure about that? I sent him an e-mail with some questions and specifically asked him if he would even service a k20d. He replied and he didn't indicate that he only works on film SLRs.

I'm really interested in any recommendations anyone has. I tried to find someone local, but everyone I bring my camera to says they just send them in to Pentax. I can't find anyone who actually does any work on Pentaxes locally. I'm in the St. Louis area, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears.

Thanks for your time!

In this thread NaClH2O talks about sending a K20D to Eric for repair. In another thread I can't find right now someone complained about not getting a dslr back from Eric. So the impression I got from his web page is mistaken. Your only other option is CRIS.

I don't think you will find anyone else besides Pentax that works on more gear from this forum's members than Eric. I have had a A 50mm repaired by Eric and I could not have asked for a better experience.

I have sent some Pentax lenses for repair and he has done an excellent work. He is very good and he stand behind his warranty. Lenses like Pentax * 300mm f/4, Pentax M 35mm f/2, Pentax FA 50mm Macro 2.8, etc.
I would not send any lens to someone else.
