K10D rocks, even when using crap lens.

K10D, Sigma 28-105mm, F2.8-4.

What pleases me the most was that it was a small crop from the middle of this shot.

hehe, you are being cheeky.

But this is the centre crop (usually the sharpest area in the sigma shots). You can see how soft the images get to the corners.

That was were I was focusing after all, sorry but there is nothing else in this shot that you could look at to pixel peep as the rest is nicely out of focus as intended. This lens is known for all over softness particularly wide open but it is showing that it is useable at mid range settings, I am happy with that from a $80 lens that also goes to F2.8.

great shot and excellent use of lighting!

Was a diffused flash used? I was looking at the shadow and the angle of the shadow, this is why I ask
I am on a crap computer right now at work, but the sharpness and detail look great.
I guess you just justified the reason I really DO need the 10MP K10

like I said once before, lighting can make or break a good shot.... this one was certainly a good one

cheers

He is another I just took and three crops, one from the middle, one from the top left corner and one from the left side.

Widely known as a soft lens but as it is F2.8 at the wide end it can be quite useful.

Really excellent quality, especially for the money! I should take such clear shots! $80 on eekbay or Ritz? I want one.
