I've attached a test photo I took today in a fairly brightly lit room. It taken with my newly arrived DA 35mm F2.4 in portrait mode.

The exif data should be intact to show the shooting modes and such. The gist is though that the -1 photo is an export of the jpg right from the camera. The file without the -1 is a picasa export of the .DNG raw file.

I'm trying to figure out why the camera processed jpg is so dark. Its happened in multiple shots, this is just an example.

Nevermind... I just noticed the exif data is missing.

Pentax K-x
DA 35mm f2.4 AL
1/40 Exposure
f/2.4
ISO 100
AWB
Metering Mode Matrix
Portrait Mode

Maybe the Exposure Bias of -3 in the second shot has something to do with it. I doubt this is an AWB issue. At ISO 100, you are basically asking the camera to behave as if it is set to ISO 12.5.

Or for exposure settings, 1/40s translating to 1/320s.

Leave the auto modes and get familiar with exposure (not being rude here) as until you understand that, you will continue to be frustrated by things like this.
