K7 flash sync speed.

I've got a cheap set of flash triggers for my K7. Max sync speed I get is 1/160, then it jumps to 1/200. I thought 1/180 was max. I assume I'm missing something somewhere......

Change the EV steps in your custom menu.

If you are 'complaining' that the camera will go to 1/200, the reason is more than likely that the camera is not aware of the flash; so it will allow you any shutter speed.

Nope, not complaining at all. 1/160 works fine, I was just curious as to why I didn't see 1/180 when it's supposed to accept it. It's possible that using the cheap triggers is why it's like that, and that your assumption is correct, and it doesn't know there is a flash.

You can easily test that; select and ISO and aperture that basically will force a shutter speed faster than 1/180s. If the camera happily goes to 1/250s or 1/500s or even faster, it's not aware of the flash.

K-7 won't close the sync contacts at shutter speeds above 1/180 regardless of whether it thinks there is a flash there or not... Keep in mind that the cheapie triggers may not sync reliably at 1/180 anyway, so 1/160 is probably all you'll get, which should be OK anywho.
