I have an old Sunpak Auto 221 hot-shoe mounted universal flash. Anyone have any idea what the voltage of that unit is and if it would be compatible with (not fry) my K100D?

It's 173.5 volts according to Photo Strobe Trigger Voltages, so a good chance it would fry the camera.

I have an old Pentax Super ME, and a Pentax AF200S flash unit. Is it possible/safe to use this on the K100D/K10D?

Yes, but not in TTL or PTTL modes.
