I think I'll save up and wait for the next model to knock the K-5 off it's pedestal - hopefully it'll be superb.
I will do the same, I have the K20 and Kx and some lenses, I am already saving for the next one and will get it as soon as it comes out, no waiting next time!

+1 for me. I also have a short list: ME (1980); and k100dS (bought refurb 2009). I'm not sure how to build an appropriate upgrade case when the existing body is fine for about 98% of the shots. I think my dream body would be the k-r with the k-5 sensor in it, but this does not exist. Thanks. Glenn

out of curiosity, for all those who listed more than 1 or 2 bodies, how many do you actually use, or have used in th elast year.

for me, 4 out of 7 which is not bad. PZ-1, *istD, K10D, and K7D. only the XR-2s, KX and Nikon FE went un-used.

I was preparing a list, but it would be tedious, so I'll just say: Maybe 10 of the 45 cameras I currently have. Some of the total recently arrived, or are up for sale, and don't really count here. More will arrive, that I really want to try. Some aren't really meant to be used, just fondled and viewed. The K20D and some P&S's get almost daily use. Film cams generally wait for me to go on a film spree. But except for a few sentimental-value 'heritage' cameras, most are meant to be used.

There are some here who have helped the Japanese economy quite a bit over the years! (and a couple of other countries as well, to a lesser extent).
I can only add 5;
1. Praktica VI (with f2.9 preset Meritar optic by, I think, Meyer - cheap!)
2. Konica Autoreflex T (with Hexanon f1.8) A much loved camera that saw my children's growing up fully documented. Only sold when light meter became unreliable, even after being 'fixed')
3. Pentax MZ50
4. Pentax *ist DS (just replaced last week - awaiting a new home, possibly by loan to a friend)
5. Pentax k5
