Anyone here selling stock photo on Alamy?

I was wondering if anyone from PF is selling their photographs taken with Pentax gear on Alamy? If you do can you share your experience regarding:

1) Overall experience
2) Workflow
3) Average sales income per anum
4) Average time spent on PP per image

I'm thinking of uploading my growing image bank to that agency. I know I won't be making a lot of money but I can get enough income from it to buy one 2 or 3 DA limiteds per year then I'll be extremely happy

Re: stock shots

I completely forgot about Alamy! Thanks for the reminder! Anyways, I am pretty much focused on Dreamstime.com their approval ratio is pretty good compared to other stock agencies. For me it's about 1:5 (1 approved of every 5 photos)

My Dreamstime profile- Chattphotos - Photographer profile

Let me know if you'd like more details about Dreamstime. I'd be happy to show you the inner workings of it all.

I will test it out Alamy this weekend! Stay tuned for details.

I'm on both Dreamstime and Alamy.

I just started uploading a couple weeks ago. My acceptance ratio on Alamy is 100% as of now with 40 images (no sales just yet ). Apparently the average acceptance ratio on it is 90%!!!

However, I'm having more trouble on Dreamstime with only 4 online images at 28% acceptance. As far as I can see, Dreamstime is much more picky than Alamy so any insights for Dreamstime is very welcome

How do you guys upload to either site?
Alamy says that my images need to be 24MB to even upload!! My k10d won't make a 24MB image unless I make a pano

Dreamstime uploader is not working, I just get a "technical error" message

The size given by Alamy is uncompressed size. The image produced by your K10D is just fine (25-28MB). Try to open the jpg in Photoshop and you will see the compressed and uncompressed sizes at the bottom left corner.

For Dreamstime, you might have to try again.
