Hi folks,

Using the K7, I noticed with my 1.7 50mm lens that I had some dust spots - up to 6.

I have the removal to activate on start up, but when i look at the dust alert - nothing shows up. it's perfectly white (clear).

I tried on auto settings, AV and TV, zoom full in and out and the dust shows up on all (just for some settings, it's more visible).

Checked the back and front of the lens and it's free of dust. I changed it to my 18-55 and the same result.

Any ideas? I'm confused. It seems to be there, but the dust alert isn't agreeing.

Try stopping down to f/22 or smaller

What you say makes perfect sense but it is very unlikely you will ever see Lens dust on your photos (meaning the lens doesn't matter)..

The dust alert is mildly useful if that. Stop your lens down as far as it will go, set for Av (kit lens), point it at the sky and take a picture.
