Strange band on top of image from K-x

Hi guys, I've just noticed in one of my images a strange band toward the top - you'll see it here:

Any explanations? Thoughts? Should I be afraid of sensor damage? I haven't noticed it in other photos. There are no shading or reflective surfaces near that scene.

Since it only shows in this one image one could think that it is a reflection in the board of a window or mirror or something.
