Good source for K-X kit?

I've decided I want to buy a Pentax K-X kit with 18-55 lens. Looks like B&H doesn't have them available "new" right now. Can anyone recommend another source that has them in stock (for around $499) w/ free shipping? I want a supplier that wouldn't have any problems me returning the camera if it was defective.

The K-x is officially discontinued, but there are a few places where you can still get some old stock. Your best bet is amazon:

Amazon.com: Pentax K-x Digital SLR with 2.7-inch LCD and 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL Lens (Black): Camera & Photo

Use Google Products to search for prices -
then use the Compare Prices under the item/combination -
click on the column header Total price to sort from low to high for the shipped price.

Use ResellerRating.com to check any vendor.

Try Cameraland at Cameras, Binoculars, Spotting Scopes, Rifle Scopes - Camera Land NY (cameralandny.com) or 866-967-8427. They still list the KX for $499.99 . I bought my KX from them in February, and when I mentioned seeing their ebay sales of the KX for $479, they gave me that price. Their shipping was quick, and they didn't hound me to buy extras. They have a good BBB rating, too.

I just ordered the same for my daughter, great deal. Looks as though they are not a fast shipper though. My daughter is going to Korea and wanted to borrow my K20D, I told her it is a little too big for her (plus I don't know what I'd do without it during the trip) and the K-x will be much easier for her to learn quickly.

Keep us informed of when you receive yours!

Cool I'm sure she'll love it. I am sure CaNikon fans will laugh at me with my pink camera but the thing is, this camera kit has better image quality and features than any Nikon or Canon under $1000.

Lol, I want to get a two foot long, 10 inch diameter lens to put on this camera to make their jaws drop lol.

That would be cool! But you can still put a tiny old M42 lens on and outshoot your Canikon friends.

Yeah I know right ? I was just kidding about the big long lens lol.

What I have so far is:
Pentax K-X kit (pink)
Tokinon 28mm f2.8
Pentax-M 50/f1.4
Pentax K55/f1.8
Pentax K35/f3.5

I'm hoping one of the 50mm lenses will be a good portrait lens with the K-X due to crop factor and aperture.

Also have a very nice Asahi Pentax KM and K2

TriState also has the KX starting at around $489.00 for a brand new Chocolate colored KX.
