KX- flashing card access icon- meaning ?

My friend's KX camera has a Card Access icon that flashes. She can't find any information in the manual about what this means. I have a K10D and a KM...I don't think I have this.

What does the flashing Card Access icon mean in her KX ?

I can't find a card access icon anywhere in the K-x manual (I don't have the camera; used an electronic copy to search). There only seems to be a card access lamp.

You can download the manual to help her

Yes it's the card access lamp. She checked the manual, it just mentions that it's there, but nothing else.

When the Card Access lamp flashes - as the name says -
it is simply indicating that the card is being accessed -
eg: writing the photo image file to the card after a shot,
or when inserting a card it flashes as an indication that the card has been accessed - kind of reassuring that the card has been inserted correctly.

From my experience on my K-x, I notice the lamp flashing on my patriot class 6 16gb sd card only when I insert the card into the camera; I recently purchased a 2 gb Eye-Fi card, and I notice it flashing when transferring photos over to my computer after it syncs.

I'm curious, what kind (class/size) of SD Card does she have in her camera?

Good ones...either San Disk or lexar...think one is an 8 GB, the other a 16 GB.
