D5100 is here - what would be Pentax answer

Sony's cameras do have decent auto focus, but what Nikon put in their cameras is not very good at all. Better off by far manual focusing. It just doesn't search back and forth as much and there isn't the noise of the camera focusing added into the audio.

Pentax could have allowed their live view focus to be usable during videoing, but they didn't feel it was adequate (I agree); however, that is exactly what Nikon did use.

if only the D5100 has:

1.> Pixel Mapping
2.> AF fine adjust

these 2 features are a luxury to have.
