Pentax K-7 shows about 2 second lag on display after shot was taken

Just got my K-7 today. Everything is fine except that after taking a shot, it takes about 2 seconds for it to be displayed. Is there a way around this? I'm using a class 6 SDHC on it and on firmware 1.10.
Any suggestions is greatly appreaciated.

I think this happens when you have the CA and shadow correction turned on. They really slow down the processing.

1. Turn off lens correction
2. Turn off highlight correction.
3. If this delay was after a long exposure, turn off long exposure NR.
Problem solved.

You already received some excellent suggestions from the earlier posts. As a K-7 user myself, let me add a few suggestions:
* It is worth to spend time to read the instruction manual. There are plenty of good useful infos.

* Any form of in-camera PP will slow down the write-up process on the card. Ash pointed the obvious ones. You mayd add the High-ISO correction option to the list. Personnally,I switch off ALL in-camera PP to be able to do Hi continuous shooting at the full burst rate (5.2 fps). In turn I PP my shots on computer afterwards.

* You may consider to switch off the photograph display on the LCD; it may speed up the time between consecutive shots when you want to take rapidly more than one shot.

Hope that the additional comments will help.
